Emma, Emma, Emma.  How I heart thee. Let me count the ways:

Emma Gilmour is one of my favouritist creators ever.  Combining the casualness that I love with surfer chic, it’s a perfect blend that looks just as great on the beach or the boardwalk.  The Summer Stripes Skirt is gorgeous, I love that it is ever so slightly high-waisted.  I am a huge fan of the tank also, and I love ruffles on tanks, but so often the ruffles are just painted in.  While I can appreciate that chest ruffles would be difficult to fit the many varied shapes in SL, I do love love love that Emma has made one with sculpted ruffles.  It’s just more real to me!

Now, the shoes are my favourite part of this photo – they’re brand spankin’ new, coming out today as part of the Tableau Festival, which officially started about five minutes ago!  This particular colour is for charity (The Center for Biological Diversity), so I’m going to be going to the festival to donate some cash.  And they’re only L$200 – shoes that awesome are never that inexpensive anymore.

The shorts and the grey tank are part of Surf Co’s latest release.  I love the casual-ness of them, but eek, the top is a little too casual – my nips were showing!  So I put on an undertank for my own modesty…amazing how I can be modest about pixels, eh?

These tops are also part of the Tableau Festival.  The top on the left, the Canvas Garden top is so gorgeous!  I love the flowers at the shoulder, it’s a perfect touch for summer.  And if you want to be a bit more casual, but still not look like you rolled out of bed in the tank you were wearing, you can pick up the Sundrop V-tanks with the spaghetti straps.  Is anyone else as excited for this festival as I am?!

Someone kill me.  I have all sorts of new amazing clothes, skins, hair and shoes that I love and can’t take off, but I am working overtime to get into the blogging spirit again after my forced hiatus.  Actually, it’s kinda hard to get back into the habit of logging into SL at all!  But when there are lovely clothes like the ones 5th & Oxford came out with not too far in the distant past just sitting in my inventory begging me to wear them and admire myself, well…let’s just say that’s motivation.

Seaside Sweetie is the name of their latest collection, and it’s perfect for spending time at the seashore, whether it be Cape Cod or the Jersey shore.  Well, maybe it’s too classic for the Jersey shore, or at least the TV show.

The texture work is sublime, and Roslin has mastered the system skirt, particularly the ass.  I’m not showing it here, but believe me, it’s one rockin’ ass.

All of the pieces in the collection are mix-and-matchable, and you dress them up or down.  Each top is L$100 for either style, and the shorts and skirts are L$120 each.

These clothes are not just for the shore though; with the right shoes and accessories, you look just as good on the city streets of a New York Sim!

Well.  I’m back!  That time away sucked, but I got a new video card so yay!  I have A LOT backed up, so you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t babble as much as I normally do, but rest assured if it’s on my blog, I love it like a fat kid loves cake.

Sigma came out with some new items while I was gone and omg…there’s a reason this store has fast become one of my favourite jewelry stores in SL.  I love virtually everything they come out with, and this release is no exception.

Illyria is a gorgeous casual set, with big looped jewels, combined with either gold or silver metal.  Above is Charcoal/Gold.

And Cobalt with silver metal.  I can’t decide which I like better, but luckily it’s a pretty good deal and when you buy a colour, you get both metal options.  There are earrings & a necklace.

Also new are the Boho bangles, which are really pretty and chunky.  They come in a few different colors, with both left and right wrist options.  The thing I like about bracelet sets, and these in particular, is when they’re not just identical bracelets & bangles on the opposite wrist, but actually a bit different.  So I can wear them on both arms and not feel stupid!

Sigma has soooooo many gorgeous things.  I can’t imagine that someone hasn’t been there, but for sure, you must go.

The pose fair is when I was first made aware of Del May.  Since then, a selection of her poses have been sitting in a folder in my “To Be Blogged’ folder, awaiting the day when I felt more worthy.  I’ve been thinking about these poses since then, wondering how on Earth I could up my own game to keep up.

Her poses are edgy and artistic and inspiring.  One of the most beautiful photos I’ve seen in ages, taken by the stunningly talented Keiko Morigi, uses one of Del May’s poses, and it’s absolutely fair to say that this pose *makes* the photo.  You have to see all of the poses, so make sure you go down to Del May to check them out for yourself.

Tiny Bird’s Autumn Hykova, a long-time friend who I don’t get to talk to nearly enough, put out her first real clothing release today for Fifty Linden Friday, and this such a sweet summer frock, perfect for those who like to look soft and pretty.

It comes in eleven colours at an insanely reasonable price for each (L$125 each!) or you can get the fatpack for L$700.  I don’t know why they’re so inexpensive but I’m not complaining!  Added to that, the champagne colour is only L$50 until midnight tonight for Fifty Linden Friday!  I don’t think I’m going to be changing out of this dress anytime soon!

SLink continues to be one of my shoe heroes.  They make the shoes I never would have thought of but now can’t imagine living without.

I never would have imagined I’d want gems on my shoes but once I wore these, all I could think was “oooh how shiny!”  They come in 10 colours, with fifteen gemstone colours (though not onyx, *ahem* Siddean!) and countless other options:

• Socks or no socks

• Open or closed-toe

• Stockings or no stockings

• Invisiprim or 2.0 alpha

• Colour-change metals (like the zipper pull)

• Colour-change nailpolishes

• Skin colour customization, including the RGB value input (so you just have to enter the number to match)

• Scripted resizing if the straps cut into your ankle or whatever, or if you just want bigger or smaller feet

And all of that is in the super-easy, anyone-can-use-it, have-to-be-an-idiot-not-to-understand-it HUD.  But just in case you just woke up and are still a bit groggy, SLink has customer service and information and FAQ’s on their website for you to peruse.

LeLutka is releasing their new skin on Wednesday, a gorgeous beauty called Lola.

It has some gorgeous new makeups in five tones, my favourite of which is Dark, shown above.  And the eyebrows are to die for.  I’ll post a full roundup tomorrow, but this is just a teaser sneak peek.

Oh it’s been a rough week for me.  But so much goodness is coming out of SL it’s helping to make up for it!

Luth Brodie of Reel Expression, who was possibly the first maker of model poses in SL, or at least the first one I was ever aware of, is back to work and making poses!

One of the new releases is the Fashion Series 8 set, twelve poses geared for fashion.  It has some great poses in the set, and the switching is smooth and easy.
