Fashion Liability!

Anya Ohmai is fairly new to me, but I go to her store every so often (and every time she releases something new) to check out the offerings.  I first became aware of her through the Red Cross fundraising effort held by Bethany Heart at The Firefly this year, when she had some of her tops on sale to benefit the charity.  Then came her blog, and now, I have to admit, I’m a bit of a fangirl.

Anya recently unveiled a new collection she’s been working on as the special guest of the LeLutka Ultra Fashion Experiment this past Sunday, and it was amazing.  Fashionistas throughout the audience were heard to shout “I love it”, “Anya, will you marry me?” and “I want all of it!” (That last one was none other than Phoenix “Fatpack” Chapman ).

This cohesive collection is called Silhouettes, and there are five outfits in all.  At least, there were five on the runway.  I hope there’s more, but I don’t know for sure.  As a member of the show staff, I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the goodies, which was like a major bonus I didn’t even know about!

This outfit is called Contour, and it’s aptly named as it shows off the contours of one’s body quite nicely, thank you very much.  I adore the sequined bolero jacket with its flowered neckline.  It’s almost casual, or it could be, but it’s definitely something you can wear when you’re feeling a bit more than casual as well.

Surface, with the nude bodice and sequined shorts, makes me want to get some tap shoes and learn to tapdance.  Srsly.  Anyone have any tap shoes?  I have a cane and a tophat!

I love Obscure’s shape; the two straps from the neckline to the balloon skirt, the pleated bodice that drapes enough to show the gold shirt underneath.  It’s enough to make a girl have a fashgasm.

Emerge is another beautiful dress.  I adore the structured top sitting atop the sequined skirt, and the gradiated stockings which complement the lining of the dress.

And I saved my most favouritist for last: Light.  An absolutely spectacular frock in champagne with flower detailing at the hem and neck.  I adore this.  I want to marry it and have its perfect babies.  From the sculpted bodice to the black tights as a canvas to show off the awesomeness, every part of this dress is made just for me.

This collection will be released on December 30th, and I predict heavy lag and many, many blog posts flooding the feeds in the days following.
