I never would have imagined I’d want gems on my shoes but once I wore these, all I could think was “oooh how shiny!”  They come in 10 colours, with fifteen gemstone colours (though not onyx, *ahem* Siddean!) and countless other options:

• Socks or no socks

• Open or closed-toe

• Stockings or no stockings

• Invisiprim or 2.0 alpha

• Colour-change metals (like the zipper pull)

• Colour-change nailpolishes

• Skin colour customization, including the RGB value input (so you just have to enter the number to match)

• Scripted resizing if the straps cut into your ankle or whatever, or if you just want bigger or smaller feet

And all of that is in the super-easy, anyone-can-use-it, have-to-be-an-idiot-not-to-understand-it HUD.  But just in case you just woke up and are still a bit groggy, SLink has customer service and information and FAQ’s on their website for you to peruse.

Don’t Freak Out is an awesome name for a store!  These poses are from the Full of Secrets series, and I like how they are a bit freer with the arms.  I sometimes grow weary of either the legs or the arms being the focus of a specific pose, but hardly ever both, and these work well with my avatar which is also a huge bonus.  The switching between poses was smooth too, a requirement for poses I use.

Everglow has tons of poses tailored for modeling, and these are but just a few.  I’d never heard of this store before the fair, but I’m looking forward to seeing what else comes out of that store.  I like the placement of the legs a lot, kinda cute and awkward and splayed.

Grazia Horwitz is premiering her second (that I know of) pose store in the fair, called Geez.  I used to buy some of her poses when she had Grapevine at Rue d’Antibes, but then it sort of disappeared.  Luckily, you can buy all of those old Grapevine poses at the fair for L$350, over 50 of them, and check out her new poses while you’re at it.  She has several mini-sets of poses available, mostly for the girls but one for the boys too.  These are my favourites, but from the various sets on offer.  I always like a good ass shot!

MAD Designs mostly has stuff for boys, but for the pose fair they’ve come out with a modeling set for the girls too.  They’re fairly basic but just fine for blogging, with poses that work to show off your clothes to their best advantage.

Gospel Voom is one of the super talented designer behind GOS, a newish (to me, anyway) store that specializes on amazingly detailed watches and sunglasses, not to mention shoes.  There are other non-avatar related items, like furniture, but that’s not what I’m focusing on today.  Today, it’s all about the sunglasses because the summer is almost here, and it’s already gorgeous weather here on the west coast.

The Butterfly model is probably my favourite.  I kinda like the oversized glasses look in SL, because the real me just does not look good in sunglasses like this.  So this is me living vicariously through my avatar.  There is a buttload of options for these and all of their glasses, including tons of colours for the lenses, frames, hardware, etc.  Opacity is customizable, as is full-bright and glow from off to high.

The Compulsive specs remind me of Bono, except perhaps smaller.  If you’re looking for that something special to make your glasses truly unique to you, you can buy an upgrade kit, which are available in a ton of colours for L$60 each, or a fatpack of all of the upgrades for L$500.  So if you want zebra-printed frames, you can get them (that’s an example).

And finally, we have Intuition.  For these, I got to try out the spray can and omg can I just say this is one of the coolest ideas ever!  I applied the Tortoiseshell update, and it gave me Amber lenses as well as the tortoiseshell frames.  After making the lenses clear, I’m ready to put on my serious face and kick some corporate ass!

Sizing is also menu-driven, as well as placement.  So if you need to move them up or down or all around, you can do that through the menu.  This makes me want to perch them up on top of my head!

Each of these pairs sells for L$600, a pretty good deal for such customizable eyewear.

Now, I have to say a little something about the backgrounds.  These are wall tattoos made by Wine and Roses, a very cool idea to jazz up some otherwise boring walls with a minimum of effort and prim use, but a maximum of cuteness!  You can get these at the Wine and Roses mainstore.

Miss Saigon is a single large rose, so of course you need a large hairstyle to wear it with.  Butterflies have been attracted but they’re gorgeous and they work!  Thank gawd this is only SL, because in RL butterflies scare me and I’d never let them get this close without running away screaming!

The two sets are called Model School 1 & 2, and they’re really well done.  With a minimum of body distortion, and a maximum of cool sexiness, they’re going to be on high rotation for a while in my pose stands.

They move smoothly from one pose to the next, which is an absolute must for any pose set I use.  Really, there’s not a lot to say except how much I love them.  I went to the store and I didn’t see them, so I don’t think they’re released yet, but they should be soon!  Stay tuned to LAP’s updater group for the release news! (It won’t take a group slot, so if you’re not in, go to it!)

So you can imagine how incredibly difficult it was to narrow it down to just five.  And especially when you consider all the categories of sweatshirts and sweaters I have.  But here they are!

Nyte’N'Day has some of the cutest sweaters around, and I very nearly picked the newest cropped sweater cuz it’s so pretty, but in the end I had to stick with my old standby, the Snug sweater.  I really really like argyle patterns, and this one is so perfectly done in the spirit of the sweater’s style.  It comes in some great bold colours too.

Ahhh, the hoodie.  The classic casual wear for ultimate comfort.  Sand Shack Surf Co‘s Vintage Fall Hoodie comes in two styles for every colour, with the graphic and without.  I’m not really a big fan of logo items in either life (unless it’s Vuitton, not that I can afford that!), so I’m appreciative of designers who offer non-logo versions.  This logo isn’t actually too bad though, it’s faded and weathered just right in keeping with the hoodie’s style.

LeLutka has been making a lot of my top five posts!  It’s not without good reason though, I really love most of what they create.  This sweater was released sometime during my SL hiatus, but it’s a classic style that could be worn forever and still look interesting.  I adore the drape over the front.  My boobs are too big for it, but it was easy peasy to adjust it.

My friend Phemie is seriously stylish.  Every time I see her, I have to inspect something she’s got on, then immediately go buy it.  I first saw her wearing this Kiitos Lentotahti sweater and I fell in love with the fantastic texturing and casual coolness of it.

And finally, the Fri.day short cardi.  With three different sleeve styles and eleventy billion colours to choose from, it’s a wardrobe staple that is so versatile it can be worn with anything.  I tend to layer it over a top and sometimes under a jacket, but as you can see it’s very sexy and cool worn all by itself too.

League‘s Garage jeans have that perfect hint of dirty in them, to make you feel like you really have been hanging out in a garage all day.  They come with a bandanna to stick in the back pocket, though I’ve never actually worn that.  You can also wear them with turned up cuffs too, for summertime.

The Dutch Touch Basic Jeans are some of my all-time favourites.  They come with both long pant legs and a rolled version, and in a few different colours.  I love the double belt loops at the top, as it’s a bit different to other jeans around the grid, and of course your ass looks bangin’ in these!

Maitreya‘s Boyfriend Jeans are meant for you, but they’re obviously ripped right off your boyfriend’s long lean legs!  A belt is needed to hold them in place, and they come with two versions of rolled cuffs.  This is the pair of jeans I wanted so bad last year, and was amongst one of my first purchases when I returned to SL this October.

Nyte’N'Day recently came out with these Essential Jeans, and essential they are.  Nyte made lots of different basic washes and textures, as well as a couple of different pant leg options.  These are vital additions to your inventory!

So Decoy has always been in my top fives for everything, including favourite stores.  Annette’s jeans let you have a fantastic ass, and her latest release, Dana 76, is no exception.  I also love that she includes several styles of pant legs so if you’re wearing flats or heels, the pants will look perfect.

Next will be my top five sweaters!

The Toast sweater comes in six made-for-Fall colours, and it’s cozy and warm and just gorgeous.  I love the zippers, and it makes me feel warm just looking at it, cuz I gotta say it’s cold in my apartment!  I even located the heater control and turned it on, but nope, it’s not warm enough for me.  Anyhow, so if I had this sweater on in my real life, I think I’d be really warm.  And snuggly.

The Spun lacy tank is cute and sexy.  There are six colours, each with a choice of white or black lace.  So if you’re staying inside the skybox with that special someone, you can wear this and keep the temperature heated enough to keep you both warm.

This dress is probably the teeniest, tiniest dress I’ve ever let my avatar wear in SL.  Well…maybe not.  But it’s really short.  And it’s open on the side, making it even more revealing and sexy.  But what it lacks in the length, it makes up in the top, which has a turtleneck and is completely proper.  Makes it just this side of hooch.

When you’re lounging around the house in your lingerie, having pillow fights with your girlfriends til it goes a bit too far.. (come on, guys, you know that’s totally how you picture the girls hanging out!), you can wear the Filigree corsety thing.  I love the lace accents, though I think I personally like it better without the garter and stockings.  I love the colours it comes in, and the detailing is really nice and well-done.

If you haven’t been to Nyte’N'Day lately, you should definitely go down and take a look.  You’ll be pleased and a lot more broke when you leave!
