Lesley is the latest release from those talented girls over at Whippet & Buck (how cute is that store name, btw?) and it’s so freakin’ adorable, I’ve been living in it for two days now.

It comes in four basic colours, and in every conceivable layer, which of course is fantastic for everyone who likes to mix and match. And also, this makes your booty look smokin’!

But that’s not the only superbly textured, amazingly detailed item you can find in the store. Everything in there is pretty much perfectly done, and it makes you look amazing and your ass is pretty scrumptious and well….lickable!

In the left outfit, I am wearing the Georgie Tapered Trousers in Tall Poppy paired with the newish Rachelle Cropped Bustier in Cherry Blossom. The center is the gorgeous Bardot Tartan Dress, worn with my trusty Maitreya Shanti sandals in Cherry, and on the far right is the amazing Victoria High Waisted Pencil Skirt, worn over the Cole Boatneck Top in Valentino.

When the weather is light, nothing is more perfect then the Grazia Frilly Tartan Top on the left (actually worn without the frills here) with the Stein Tailored Shorts, both in the Indigo colour option. On the right is one of her dresses that I bought immediately upon my return to SL back in October, the Haver Tiered Frock in Brown/Grey.

And when night falls (or the middle of the day, whatever works for ya) and you’re feeling like a bit of sexy time, there’s nothing better than the Frilly Little Bras & Knickers (god, I love them for being Australian and using words like knickers!!)

Check out Whippet & Buck for these and more gorgeous pieces!

Antonia Marat is the goddess of vintage rockabilly fashion. We all know that Artilleri is *the* store to go to if you’re looking to resurrect the magic from decades past, and every piece in her store is amazingly well-crafted and executed.

One of my very favourite things in Artilleri are the 1st Mate Capris. I know these may not be the most recent thing, but I’m going with one simple philosophy: everything released since late last year is brand new. I love the cuffs and the buttons, and they look amazing and fit really well. They areobviously inspired by the nautical, and they invoke the smell and the spray of the sea when you’re wearing them. They are L$150 each, and the fatpack of 5 pairs is L$500.

I chose to pair them with the black polka dot Marcy top, which is very cute; it was wretched trying to pick just one colour when you really can’t afford the fatpack! Each top will run you L$120, and the fatpack of eight colours will cost L$500.

On the left is the adorable Darla top (L$120 each, fatpack is once again L$500) in red, paired with the Johanna highwaist denim shorts in medium blue (L$150 each, or L$400 for the fatpack). I dunno what it is about highwaist pants and shorts, but I absolutely adore them in SL. I guess it’s because I feel like very few people could get away with them in RL (IE: Jessica Simpson comes to mind, and she’s not exactly a heifer), so if you can do it in SL, you should! Completing the look is the Sabina hair in Toffee, also by the Artilleri.

Shown front and centre is the Kitty dress in navy, which also comes in five other colours. I love the skirt and especially the bow of this dress with all the girly little squees my heart can hold. I would never admit that to anyone but you though. So please keep that under your hat, m’kay?

For Halloween this year, I’m going to be the classic 50′s girl, complete with poodle skirt. Yes, I’m going as a “good girl” because we all know the bad girls didn’t wear poodle skirts. Remember Sandy in Grease? Once she shed the good girl image become slutty Sandy, all in order to catch Danny, off came the poodle skirt. It comes in a ton of other colours, in case pink isn’t your thing.

Lastly are three outfits I don’t feel are strictly “retro”, but they’re still very cute and definitely “Artilleri”. All of these could and are worn to this day.

On the left are the Betsy jeans in light blue, complete with cuffs. I am wearing them with the Carlita top in white, and Sim-mate Emma Gilmour’s Freedom Flops, which as a flip-flop kinda girl, I totally love. The tops are only L$120 each with the fatpack costing L$600 for ten colours. The fatpack of the Betsy jeans is L$620, but if you only want one colour, then it’s only L$120.

Another of my favourite Artilleri outfits is the Lovely Leo dress, which you can also purchase in Zesty Zebra. I love wrap-style dresses, and this is achieved with a system skirt which makes it even more appealing. I tried to wear a wrap skirt that was sculpty, and I failed miserably at getting it to fit properly. This was easy-peasy, and I think system skirts that are done well are still so attractive. I know I am in the minority though, which is really a shame.

On the right is Antonia’s latest release, the Elspeth cardigan in black. This comes in two styles, either plain or polka-dot. I am pairing this with the also-new Tiffany pencil skirt in grey. I absolutely love the little details on this skirt, like the belted flower at the waist, and the texture and the black trim detailing. This would be perfect for any office job, and especially my office job! It definitely makes me wish I had this in Real Life.

If you’re into the whole retro-rockabilly thing, then you already probably know Artilleri well. If you haven’t been there in awhile, or you didn’t know Antonia also makes amazing furniture and a killer trailer prefab (I have it and I LOVE it, though people made fun of me for living in a trailer), what are you waiting for? Get thee on down to Artilleri!

Miko Omegamu, the designer of Icing, has recently returned to SL® after a summer-long hiatus, and she’s jumped right back into creating and designing vintage-inspired outfits and dresses for those who love to look a little bit retro.

With Halloween fast approaching, Icing has released two outfits based on classic symbols of the 20′s: the cigarette girl (left) and the camera girl (right). These girls would walk around the nightclubs and ask patrons if they wanted cigars, cigarettes or their photos taken. (Where’s the cocktail waitress, Miko? ) These outfits come with amazing accessories for authenticity, like the cigarette tray and camera, not to mention lovely hats to complete the ensemble.

In the centre is previously-released Ship Shape, a nautical bikini, with a coverup miniskirt and sailor hat. I know it’s not exactly seasonal in the Northern Hemisphere, but there are still some warm days where I live on the West Coast, and no doubt it’s warming up in Australia as they head into summer.

This has to be one of my very favourite released anywhere lately. I don’t wear formal wear often, but when I do, I want it to be spectacular. And Joli Bouquet definitely delivers. The rose corsage on the hip is a beautiful touch, and it works very well with a recent Truth hair release, aptly named Rose.

The dress comes with two skirt options, one being a train! It’s incredibly beautiful, and makes one feel beautiful wearing it, even if you’re wearing it when you’re, oh, I dunno, cleaning your oven? Yes, even if you have nowhere to go, you can still wear it!

Marilyn Monroe is iconic, even today, and I don’t think there’s a person alive who doesn’t remember that picture. Miko has recreated that dress in four colours, the above being white, and it comes complete with a grate and a gesture for the skirt to blow up!

Goodnight Kiss, on the right, is a sweet simple dress with flutter sleeves and an above-knee-length skirt. Included with it is a single rose accessory for your hair, which sets it off nicely.

Miko is a bit of a throwback to the past in both her style and her prices. While most of her peers are pricing outfits and costumes above her very reasonable average price of L$300 (most below, some slightly above), she stands fast, which makes me happy in the pants! I am but a poor blogger, after all.

Teleport to Icing!
